EVRTH - NASA/Jpl

EVRTH Demo, NASA/JPL 2017 (Unity 5.x)

*NOTE: This is a work in progress (WIP) and not representative of final quality or lighting*

This project was a collaboration between our Creative Content Studio and NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratories.

We designed "EVRTH" to be a "story-telling" application that uses
current and historic satellite data in VR to present scientific stories of note to a non-scientific audience. All of the imagery on the Earth is extrapolated and constructed from real satellite data, and is as current as the live GIBS Data set provided by NASA. It also can show you the current view from the International Space Station (ISS) as it orbits the planet in real-time.

Referencing actual CAD models of the ISS, we built a highly detailed and accurate real-time model of the cupola that is capable of running at 90 frames per second (FPS) on multiple VR Headsets.

Video does not do this project justice -- it must be viewed in VR.
